ADDITIONAL
FAQ'S

A: No problem, the lids on the pods function on hydraulics and there is no latch. You can close it, leave it open fully or just a crack. It's entirely up to you as is the rooms lighting, so no need to worry that you might miss out on some of the benefits of the sensory deprivation float.

q: can I float with freshly dyed hair/new tattoo or piercing

A: Sorry, no. A good general time frame to wait for dyed hair is 4-6 weeks and then confirm that the water runs clear from your hair when you shower. For tattoos and piercings it's recommended to wait 6-8 weeks, though some piercings such as nipples or navel may require longer to heal completely.

Q: how do i prepare for my float?

A: It would be a good idea to avoid shaving the day of prior to your float. Try to stay away from caffeine for at least an hour before hand and have a light snack as you'll be here for about an hour and a half.

Q: are there any side effects?

A: On the rare occasion, floating may bring on symptoms of motion sickness which will usually go away on it's own after a couple of minutes and a few deep, calming breathes.

Q: Is it safe to fall asleep in the water?

A: Absolutely, the density of the water makes it impossible to sink and will hold you in place, as a matter of fact, it would take so much effort to turn over that you would wake yourself up anyway.

q: Can I use my own shampoo and/or body wash?

A: You can use whatever you like after your float, but for the pre-float shower you must use the shampoo and body wash we've provided as it has been tested and proven safe for the pods. Don't worry, we only use pure, organic, cruelty free products.

Q: can i listen to my own music in the pod?

A: Sure, assuming your personal listing device is equipped with the standard aux headphone jack, just pre-load it with what you like, ( 1 hour and 15 minute playlist would be ideal ), and we'll be happy to hook it up for you. Just note that it's strongly suggested you stick to mellow, positive themes. Heavy, aggressive music is great for when you want to get the adrenaline going, but in this case it's counter productive.

q: Do I need to bring anything?

A: Nope, we'll provide everything you'll need for your session and a swimsuit is not necessary. You'll have a private room so it's encouraged to float in the nude. It's safer for the pods and makes for a more relaxed experience.

Q:How clean is the water?

A:

The water solution in our pods is being filtered constantly, (when not in use), through UV sanitation and Ozone purification. Plus Hydrogen Peroxide is added to the water every morning.

Take all that into account, than add the fact that each pod contains about 1,200 - 1,500 Lbs of magnesium sulfate, (Epsom Salts), which is a natural antimicrobial in itself, so bacteria can not survive in it. As well, every guest must shower before they enter the pod.

Additionally, the water solution in our pods is tested at least twice daily to ensure perfection. This is as clean as it gets.

Q: what if I'm claustrophobic?
